1st Class Sporting Friendship Group

We run Sporting Friendship groups every Tuesday at the Knights Rugby club (Castle Park) in Armthorpe from 10.30am to 12pm.

 

The group is loosely formed around sport, with some sport related quiz questions, “who’s this” sportsperson identification etc, but is more around a friendship group who meet every week and have a laugh, a cup of tea and talk together. We also play a game of bingo and an activity (Quoits, mini golf etc), with small prizes for winners.

 

We also go out on occasions for lunch after the session to celebrate birthdays, and occasionally have a social event such as bowling.

 

The sessions are free to attend, and anyone is welcome. The attendees (around 10 to 12 people) are currently including people who have lost a partner, some have early onset dementia and some just older people who want to get out to a regular friendship group.
