Dance On for Parkinson's

Designed for adults living with Parkinson’s, these Dance On sessions run by darts (Doncaster Community Arts) blend movement with targeted exercises to help develop strength, coordination and balance and improve mental wellbeing.

These lively, fun sessions are flexible and tailored to the needs of those taking part. Suitable for all abilities and mobilities, participants can take part seated or standing, with or without support. Dance On for Parkinson’s is also about making connections with others and building new friendships, and there is time for a cuppa and a chat at the end.

Why join us?

Unlike many dance classes that focus on learning a specific style (like Zumba or line dancing), Dance On sessions are specially designed to be accessible, person-centred and inclusive. It’s not about learning traditional steps or putting together complicated routines. It’s about the simple joy of moving your body to great music in a safe, supportive space. Whatever your ability, you can take part in a way that suits you. There’s no judgement, and everyone’s included.
