Doncaster Tuneless Choir

DONCASTER TUNELESS CHOIR

We meet every Wednesday at the hall of St Peter’s Church (AKA The White Church) Warmsworth Road, Balby Doncaster DN4 0TW. The entrance is just after the traffic lights before the petrol garage coming from Doncaster town centre and you can park on the grass if the car park is full.

Doors will open at 7.30pm with sessions running from 7:45pm to 9pm with a break for drinks and nibbles.

Like all Tuneless Choirs, singers from different backgrounds and all ages will be coming together to enjoy the release of endorphins as they sing popular songs in their own unique ways. No pressure, no judgment, just confidence-boosting fun and a great atmosphere.

The choir is being led and managed by Rebeca Power. Rebeca heard about Tuneless Choirs as her Aunt Rita is a member at Chesterfield. She visited and decided to set up her own in Doncaster.

Since our launch in March 2019 we have been mentioned on BBC Radio 1, featured on Radio 2 and BBC Radio Sheffield and Doncaster’s Sine fm. We have also featured in local magazines and newspapers. Our optional public performances have taken us to sing at some of Doncasters most historic locations including the mansion house, the Keepmoat stadium and the famous market and on our first christmas we turned on the town centre christmas lights and sang with BGT finalist Mark McMullen (in photo) and the civic Mayor Linda Curren is our Tuneless friend and often joins us on our performances. Rebeca took over as leader in January after our 1st leader Richie moved to Spain but he keeps in touch.

Newcomers pay £10 for their first session which includes registration. After your first session the regular price is £8 for ‘pay as you go’ or you can pay in advance for a term for the equivalent of £5 per session.
