Friends of Edenthorpe and Kirk Sandall Community Park

The Friends of Group exists to enhance the facilities in the Community Park and encourage use of this space. We have been successful in winning a grant from the Police Commissioner to improve lighting, we secured funding for bulb planting, additional seating, a picnic bench and signage, during the pandemic we organised an Easter Egg Hunt. Currently we are applying for funding to add blossom trees and additional play equipment for preschool aged children. We meet as a committee in the venue specified on Wednesday afternoons every other month. Members fulfil various roles from litter picking on the park, to filling in applications for funding.
